  • At the moment, we do not have any contracts with health insurance plans. This is something we are actively working on. However, some insurance plans may be used for diagnostic blood work, biopsies, or medications. In the meantime, we provide itemized statements upon request, which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement depending on your out-of-network coverage.

  • At Avi Dermatology, patient care and satisfaction are our highest priorities. If something unexpected arises, please notify us as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment. Due to limited availability for dermatology appointments, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations, allowing us the opportunity to offer the time slot to another patient. 

    A $50 deposit will be collected at the time of scheduling, which will be applied toward the cost of your visit. If you need to cancel and reschedule at least 48 hours in advance, your deposit will be transferred to your new appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, we will make an exception for the first occurrence, and your deposit will be moved to the new appointment. However, for a second instance of a late cancellation, and every instance thereafter, the deposit will be forfeited.

  • We are an inclusive practice committed to providing care to patients of all ages, backgrounds, and identities. We serve children and adults of all races, religions, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses. 

    Importantly, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to be seen.

  • Communication with your provider is intended for routine matters. We recommend visiting the nearest emergency room or calling 9-1-1 if you have an urgent concern or emergency.

  • We accept cash, credit card payments, ATH Móvil, and Venmo.

  • There are several parking options available along Calle Santa Cruz. We recommend allowing extra time to find parking and walk to our clinic.

  •  No referral is needed. You can call our office directly to book an appointment. You can also use our online scheduling portal.

  • Yes. If you have previously been seen by a dermatologist, please bring any prior notes, lab work, or biopsy results with you. You are also encouraged to send them to us before your appointment or upload them to your patient portal.
